COURTNEY JORDAN CURATOR —
Artists are potent myth-makers: their works resound.
Rapturous and anguished, abstracted and conceptualized,
personal and universal, inner lore set free.
Much like the altered worlds and bespoke realities that mark centuries-old legends,
contemporary artists and performers explore what Novalis called
“The seat of the soul… Where the inner and outer worlds meet.”
Morphed perceptions of self and place
take hold as we come to the realization that it is we
who cast the die, hold all inherent possibility.
AFTH2015 is calling for artists who have found their inner mythology — and let it loose.
[ Submissions from all artists of all media accepted at afth.vanderbiltrepublic.com until 15 September ]
